I am surprised that only 25 per cent don’t feel safe on the city streets.
It is 7pm. I have just taken the dog for a 40-minute walk. I saw one jogger and one other dog-walker.
If you were to go into the city centre at this time you would see very few people in Above Bar.
If I go out at night I drive, I never walk now, and most people would not dream of walking after dark.
As for the city centre parks we have been accosted by people drunk and on drugs.
Anyone who walks through the parks late in the day/night is taking a very big risk.
