SOCIAL networks have their own rhythms! I recently received an invitation to join a media from an ex pupil of mine from Bitterne Park School who now lives and works in Mexico, and he openly regretted not having paid enough attention during my Spanish lessons!
He has just sent me the links to your pages about the demolition last March of Bitterne Park School.
The image of the assembly hall and the stage being torn down was a little tear jerker for I enjoyed producing shows there from 1972 to 1974.
I would have loved to participate in that get together as the school, the staff, the pupils and their families were very important for me as I started my career in teaching.
In fact it was my only experience in the UK for I moved to France in 1975 and engaged in an incredible career as artistic director of many new cultural venues from Le Havre to Macon, to Mulhouse then Angers and finally Montpellier where I retired in 2013.
Please, if an occasion arises, indicate my happy thoughts from back in the 70’s and if anyone wishes to get in touch, especially my ex colleagues, then my mail is ccrimesarts@gmail.com.
