EASTLEIGH Borough Council has kept its council tax below inflation for five years in a row through good financial management and finding efficiencies.
It's the best record in Hampshire, and one we are proud of. I am pleased to reassure Richard May (Letters, March 24) that income from land disposals is only used for new facilities for residents. It does not prop up the council's budget.
Cllr Keith House, Leader, Eastleigh Borough Council.
