ALTHOUGH testing cosmetics on animals has been banned in the EU and UK, cosmetics and toiletries tested on animals outside the EU remain on our shelves.
A European ban preventing the sale of new animal tested products was planned for 2013, however, this is now at risk of being delayed.
If this ban is delayed, tens of thousands of animals could still suffer and die in cruel tests for cosmetics every year. The BUAV is fighting to ensure this does not happen, but we need your help. Please sign and share our No Cruel Cosmetics petition now by either visiting NoCruelCosmetics.org or calling BUAV for a copy of the petition.
Buying non-animal tested cosmetics and toiletries has never been easier. Simply look out for the BUAV Leaping Bunny trademark or visit our newly re-designed website GoCrueltyFree.org where you can download or order the Little Book of Cruelty free, and search our list of products from over 400 BUAV certified companies and brands which are already free from animal testing.
Please help us to end cruel cosmetics tests – sign and share BUAV’s No Cruel Cosmetics petition and visit GoCrueltyFree.org to find out where to buy non-animal tested products.
MICHELLE THEW, chief executive, BUAV.
