Not impressed by front bench
9:40am Wednesday 30th May 2012 in Readers' Letters
SITTING in the public gallery of the first full council meeting of the new Labour administration at Southampton City Council, anyone would have come away distinctly unimpressed by the front bench performance.
It was clear that they were out of their depth. At least the Tories said and did exactly what they were going to do and were tough enough to make unpopular decisions.

Try to protect council workers jobs( lets see what Labour do).
Protect lower paid council workers wages.
Tory and Liberal councillors took wage cuts, Labour refused and now claim more money putting themselves above the workers ( of which I am one).

How is it harsh treatment for working people when you keep the council tax to zero.

As a council worker do you feel your unions have been duped into industrial action & are now getting stabbed in the back by Williams & his Labour Council?

Loosehead I agree with most of your comments, you do a great job holding Labour to account.
