Town Quay is not a great advert for city

I PAID my first visit of the year to Town Quay to wave my niece off on a cruise.

I couldn’t believe another year has gone by and yet nothing has been done to remove the fencing stopping people from using the seats that are there.

Lo and behold someone from the council has decided to install four new seats right by the road with all the traffic going by so that we can inhale all the fumes, and if you can see over the cars parking in front of you, you can see the disgraceful sight of the wrecked pier! What a great sight for tourists and locals.

Mrs B. BROWN, Southampton.

Thats weird I walked to the end of Town Quay with my wife, brother & sister-in-law & my nephew & could quite easily see everything.
We also went to Mayflower park & could see the ships.
Under the last council Mayflower park was being expanded I wonder if this is still going to happen under Labour?

Why the sarcastic remark? I was sticking up for this city & asking the question if that project was still going ahead?
all you had to do was say yes & maybe shout about it so that the person who wrote this letter & all the scousers who are now using it to knock our city can see the great things that are happening.( great things the tories got to happen)

Have Used Google Earth and street view to see Town Quay.
Hope to god you've done something to tidy this mess of a place up since the street view photographs were taken. Must admit it looks grotty, can't see that you can do much to improve the area after all its not a " World Heritage Site " is it.

'World Heritage Site' - the fact that you got it shows what a joke it is.
