Forcing us into this recession is wrong

IN reply to the letter from C Smith, of Totton Tories (Letters, June 23), I have counted about 20 letters in the last two months or so, often anonymous, with titles such as The Labour Waste, Cost of Labour, Labour-BBC coalition.

You attack me for highlighting this little campaign of yours, and state that my opinions are as something from North Korea.

This demonstrates just how extremely right wing your views must be.

No doubt the leaders of Greece, Spain and the USA will be pleased with your news that it was all the fault of Gordon Brown, and not their lax banking regulations.

Also, our three million unemployed will be delighted with your remedy of saving more, paying less tax, and lower spending. There are some of us who believe that forcing our economy into such a severe recession is wrong, and we don’t all come from Cuba.

C OLIVER, Southampton.

Well said. I wish these New-Forest Tories would stick to what they know. Pigs & Ponies.

So Gordan Brown,Ed & David Milliband,Ed Balls & even Tony Blair saying they were partly to blame for the banking crisis & they should have listened & not released the banking regulations.
Didn't have anything to do with the crisis then?
Or the fact that Lehmans london branch was the source of their woes & this was the same with many American banks ?
The countries in the mire have the same banking regulations as Gordan Brown implemented.
Germany didn't & all their workers took a wage reduction & industry thrived & they took on more people look what happened here when a local council tried to save jobs & cut wages?
The left helped us into this situation & the left wanted to borrow more money to try to buy us out what happened (would of) if this tact had failed? we'd be worse of than Greece.
China is in a dip surprise, surprise! companies are now finding they can make their products cheaper or for the same here.
we can no longer afford to buy as much as we did so who can they export to?
this is obvious it would happen if we have no work we can't buy the stuff we use to produce
