REPEATING parrot-fashion the lame excuses served up to Southern Water’s customers, Meyrick Gough (Daily Echo August 15), dismisses the company’s moral obligations out of hand.

Southern Water is well aware of the bogus nature of the consultation on fluoride and the health authority’s self-contradictory and deliberately misleading communications on the subject. They have ample scope for raising objections to the scheme, which they could easily do by confining themselves to their supposedly “advisory” role.

If the management cannot access the medical and ethical issues involved in fluoridation (which they have already admitted IS medication) they have absolutely no business to be in charge. Full stop.
