New Forest Wildlife Park is gearing up for a week of otter-themed fun in its May half term, celebrating World Otter Day.

From May 25 to June 2, visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in activities centred around these captivating creatures and the park's dedication to their preservation.

The park will be teeming with otter activities. Join the Otter Trail to delve into fascinating facts about all 13 otter species, including the opportunity to meet four species living in the park.

Complete the trail, you may receive a prize, and stay on the lookout for a hidden golden paw print which could win you an otter adoption or family tickets. Otter-themed crafts are also in store, including keyring making and pebble painting.

Young visitors have a chance to channel their favourite park animal with face painting. Daily talks from keepers offer eye-opening insights into the otter world, as well as the park's conservation efforts, during feeding time.

Throughout the week donations will be collected for the Himalayan Otter Network and Giant Otter Project, both integral organisations focussed on protecting otters in their native habitats.

New arrivals to the park will also steal some of the limelight, including enchanting six-week-old mouflon lambs that underline the park's dedication to preserving the unique wild sheep species.

Similarly, don't miss the playful five-month-old giant otter cubs, or the conservation-focused introduction of the park's newest guests, the Scottish wildcats.
