DAVIES Hubert J Died peacefully 15th August 2018 at Southampton General Hospital aged 99. Sadly missed by daughters Anne & Glynis, son Keith, family & friends. Funeral Service Avenue St Andrew's Church, Southampton on Thursday 30th August at 11:00am. We warmly invite family and friends to stay on for refreshments. Dr Davies, what a great man! My tutor at Southampton University up until his retirement in 1982. A kindly, patient gentleman who kept in touch with me until his eye sight faded in recent years and whose intellect was more than a match for mine well into his nineties. The world was enriched by him and despite his splendid age the world is poorer with his passing.
