JURD Pearl Mavis Pamela (née Edom) 31st July 1929 24th January 2019 It is with the greatest sadness and an overwhelming sense of loss that we announce the passing of Pam Jurd (née Edom) - a wonderful, compassionate, and caring lady whose death will leave such a void in the lives of her family and friends. Predeceased by daughter Catherine (2000), husband Harry (2007), husband George Warner (1955), sisters Marjorie Riley (2009) and Julia Smith (2016), Pam is survived by several nieces and nephews, by sister Valerie in Canada, and by Diana to whom Pam was not only a cherished sister but also a mother-figure, loving friend, and confidante. A service to celebrate Pam's life will be held at Wessex Vale Crematorium, Bubb Lane, West End, SO30 2HL 1:45pm Monday 18th February. All are invited to join us afterwards at The Peartree Inn, Woolston. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jonathan Terry Funeral Director, 101 Peartree Avenue, Bitterne SO19 7JJ, to whom floral tributes should be sent. Pam loved flowers and, at her request, all floral tributes will later be distributed to care-homes and senior citizens' homes for the enjoyment of residents. Heartfelt thanks to Leanne Rogers/Richard Prior who treated Pam like family and made her life much happier and more fulfilling. Bless you. Pam Jurd - a simple life so well-lived, a woman so well-loved. She will be missed more than words can say.
