READ Eileen 91, died peacefully on Saturday 18th July at Nazareth House Care Home, Cardiff. Former head of St.Josephs then teacher at Spring Hill and Holy Family schools in Southampton. She worked at St John's drop-in centre and also for Night Stop taking in young homeless, then a volunteer in the chaplaincy at the General Hospital. Sadly missed by her nine nephews and nieces, her many neighbours and fellow parishioners. Funeral service (numbers limited) at St.Boniface Church, Shirley on Wednesday 12th August at 11.30am, followed by a cremation (family members only). No flowers, but donations if wished to Aid to the Church in Need, c/o R C Payne Funeral Directors, 374 Shirley Road, Tel. 02380 773 776.
