(Marine Parade) (Road Closure) (255-90) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2020
Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordance with Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Council made the following Order on 22nd April 2020.
1 The effect of the Order will be to close be close Marine Parade from Chapel Road to Belvidere Road. Note that during the period of the Order goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes maximum will be allowed to use the A3024 Northam road from its junction with Britannia Road to its junction with Brintons Road.
2 The Order is required to allow emergency gas repairs.
3 The alternative route will be be Britannia Road, Northam Road, Six Dials, Kingsway, St Mary's Place, Evans Street, Marsh Lane, Terminus Terrace, Canute Road, Royal Crescent Road, Saltmarsh Road and Albert Road North.
4 The Order comes into force on 25th April 2020 for up to 18 months or until such sooner time as the works are completed. However, it is anticipated that the works shall be completed by 1st June 2020.
