The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders


Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (Adelaide Grove, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours from Monday 12 July 2021 until 2000 hours on Friday 16 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Adelaide Grove between its junctions with York Avenue and Minerva Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Brighstone Road, Brook, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours until 1530 hours on Thursday 15 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Brighstone Road between its junctions with Brighstone Footpath 97 and Ridget Lane. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Colwell Lane, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours until 2300 hours, for one day, from Monday 12 July 2021 until Wednesday 14 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Colwell Lane between its junctions with Jameson Gardens and Princes Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs. 
The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Shanklin to Wroxall, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Cyclists and Equestrians) Order No 1 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours until 2300 hours, for one day, from Monday 12 July 2021 until Wednesday 14 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian, cyclist or equestrian to proceed along Cycle Track from Shanklin to Wroxall between its junctions with Lower Hyde Estate and Carter Avenue. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway and cycle track repairs. 
The Isle of Wight Council (Denness Road, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours until 2300 hours, for one day, from Wednesday 14 July 2021 until Friday 16 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Denness Road for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Great Preston Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours until 1530 hours, or, from 1930 hours until 2300 hours, for one day, from Tuesday 13 July 2021 until Thursday 15 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Great Preston Road between its junctions with Smallbrook Lane and Brading Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs. 
The Isle of Wight Council (Westhill Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Wednesday 14 July 2021 until 2359 hours on Friday 16 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Westhill Road between its junctions with Highfield Road and Westhill Drive. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during core drilling and investigation works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Osborne Steps, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order No 3 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Monday 12 July 2021 until 2359 hours on Tuesday 13 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall proceed along Osborne Steps for its entire length. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during core drilling and investigation works.


Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1500 hours and 0600 hours on approximately five to ten shifts, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. The closures are for high friction surfacing works, carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 09 July 2021 and Friday 20 August 2021. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

The Isle of Wight Council (York Avenue, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 6 2021 – York Avenue for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during high friction surfacing works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Ningwood Hill, Shalfleet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Ningwood Hill for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during high friction surfacing works.  
The Isle of Wight Council (Yarmouth Road, Cranmore, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Yarmouth Road for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during high friction surfacing works.
