BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (BRACKNELL HALF MARATHON) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES) ORDER 2021

WHEREAS the Bracknell Forest Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as 'the Council'), as the Traffic Authority for the roads specified in the Schedule hereto ('the Roads') are satisfied that:

a) it is not reasonably practicable for sections of the Bracknell Half Marathon to beheld otherwise than on a road; and



b) traffic on the Roads specified in the Schedule hereto should be restricted and/or prohibited for the purpose of facilitating the holding of the said Bracknell Half Marathon.



NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL, in exercise of their powers under Sections 16A, 16B and 16C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994) make the following Order:

1. The following Regulations shall be observed between 8.45am and 14.00pm on Sunday 05th September 2021 as determined by any Police Officer in uniform, or any person duly authorised by the Council.



2. No person shall allow any vehicle except (a) upon permission of a Police Officer in uniform or (b) upon permission of any person duly authorised by the Council or (c) which is being used on an official basis in connection with the holding of the said Bracknell Half Marathon to enter the roads referred to in the Schedule here to between 8.45am and 14.00pm on Sunday 05th September 2021.



3. This Order is made under Section 16A, 16B and 16C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994).



4. This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs are displayed in the Road.



5. This Order may be cited as "Bracknell Forest Borough Council (Bracknell Half Marathon) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2021".



SCHEDULE

i. A329 London Road westbound carriageway from its roundabout junction with Broad Lane (Running Horse roundabout) to its roundabout junction with the A3095 Church Road (Met Office roundabout).



ii. Larges Lane from its junction with the A329 London Road southwards for a distance of 50 metres.



iii. Binfield Road from its roundabout junction with Harvest Ride (Framptons Bridge roundabout) southwards for a distance of 50 metres.



iv. Western Road from its junction with Easthampstead Road westwards for a distance of 50 metres.



v. Bracknell Leisure Centre entrance from its junction with the A322 Bagshot Road.



vi. Opladen Way from a point 30 metres south of Harmans Water Road southwards for a distance of 50 metres.



vii. Lily Hill Road from its junction with Longhill Road north-westwards for a distance of 50 metres.



viii. Julius Hill from its roundabout with Harvest Ride southwards for a distance of 50 metres.



ix. Jigs Lane South, from its roundabout with Harvest Ride southwards for a distance of 50 metres.



x. Warfield Road, from its roundabout junction with Harvest Ride and Newell Green southwards for a distance of 50 metres.



xi. Moordale Avenue between Windlesham Road and Weycrofts.



xii. Glebewood from its junction with the A322 Bagshot Road. 50 metres in either direction from the point or junction specified:



xiii. Nuneaton and its footpath/cycleway crossing (approx. 116m west of the roundabout junction with Savernake Way).



xiv. Farningham and its footpath/cycleway crossing (approx. 75m north of its junction with Hope Avenue.)
