Logistics operator, Europa Worldwide Group, which has one of it 15 UK branches at Totton has acquired some of some of the trade and assets of Menzies Response – an end-to-end fulfilment and warehouse management service.

Europa has purchased Menzies’ warehouse in Rushden, Northamptonshire and its contact centre in Ashford, Kent, from parent company, Menzies Distribution.

Europa Warehouse already has three facilities in Dartford, Birmingham and Northampton.

Europa’s managing director, Andrew Baxter, said: “The acquisition is a great start to the year for Europa, further adding to our growing portfolio. The Menzies’ assets are a perfect fit with Europa Warehouse and our aim is to strengthen, develop and grow the business."

Europa Warehouse will take over the existing customer base and 90 employees, with business continuing as normal.

Alongside the warehouse, the Ashford contact centre supports all forms of customer care across telephone, email, social media and website contact forms. It will be rebranded as Europa Contact Centre.

In 2017 Europa Worldwide Group officially announced it was on the acquisition trail to help it meet its goal of becoming a £400m turnover operator in the next four years.

In May Europa made its first acquisition, the Belgium based specialist part and full load operator, Continental Cargo Carriers.
