BUSINESSES are being sought to offer work placements to teenagers with disability.

Disability charity Enham Trust, based in Andover, is asking for businesses in Basingstoke, Southampton, Portsmouth and Eastleigh to offer work placements for young learners on its Skills2Achieve programme.

The Skills2Achieve programme works with young people from the age of 16 to 19, to gain qualifications, develop life skills and source work experience.

Work placements are needed throughout the year; anything from one day to two weeks depending on the nature of the placement and employer.

Nicky Ventham, Skills2Achieve engagement and placements officer, said; “Work experience is an integral part of our study programme at Skills2Achieve, to enable our young people to gain valuable work ethics and get a true picture of being employed.

“I am keen to talk to local businesses to arrange work placements, which will benefit both our young people for the future, and could help your organisation to discover new talent.”

To offer work placements, email nicky.ventham@enhamtrust.org.uk or call 07725960519.
