IT'S a tough job but someone's got to do it.

When Southampton marketing firm Lawton won a contract with sportswear giant Adidas, it fell to account manager Bonnie Boodram, pictured right, to film every one of the sport label's stable of soccer superstars.

The 29-year-old marketer flew to Madrid to film England captain David Beckham, below right, and also shot 12 other top UK footballers like Stephen Gerrard and Frank Lampard as well as Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

The videos form the basis of a World Cup software promotion for Adidas, which is one of the main sponsors of the tournament. Footage of each player has been turned into animated characters, which can be downloaded from the internet to dribble their way around your computer desktop.

It was a dream job for Arsenal fan Bonnie.

She said: "I've never done anything on this scale. I was so excited and it went amazingly well. I was most excited about meeting Jose Mourinho, below. I saw him as being the most charismatic and animated. He was the toughest.

"All the players were extremely professional and I got to learn some interesting tricks. I never knew how to do keepy uppy before."

She had to video each of the stars showing off their tricks.

"I am used to planning everything to the last detail but with these guys you just have to give them the ball and let them do their stuff and just film the best tricks. Adidas told me to trust them and they would come up with the goods and they did.

"One of the players was Ashley Cole who had a fractured foot so we couldn't get him to kick the ball. It was a challenge but we got round it by putting the ball in afterwards."

Thanks to the Lawton software, called Admonkey, Internet users can log on to www.admonkey.co.uk/adidas.html and download their favourite from the 14 football legends filmed by Bonnie and get news updates at the same time.

Barry Moore, denior marketing communications manager for adidas said: "The Admonkey technology that Lawton eMarketing has produced for us has added a new dimension to our campaign. To sit on thousands of desktops allows us to communicate our messages in a unique and creative way, complementing our brand."
