A Lymington lingerie company has enlisted the help of a team of students to harness the power of social media on the Internet and boost its brand.

Online lingerie boutique GlamorousAmorous.com has enlisted the Southampton Solent University team to devise a strategy for its Facebook and Twitter pages and extend the online marketing reach of the company. The project fulfils the students’ marketing consultancy unit of their course.

Founder Annabel Gatward, who lives in Lymington and is pictured above with the students, said: “It’s been hugely encouraging to have a group of four talented, creative and motivated individuals – all committed to creating a social media campaign. I understand that the group love this project as they feel that it is similar to an internship as they are close to the real needs and demands of the growing business. I have welcomed them in and have found this to be a super-rewarding experience. Apparently many of the other students are doing projects that will never come to life so I think this group are very excited by bringing their strategy to reality.”

Started in 2005, Glamorous Amorous showcases the work of more than 50 designers.
