The date is February, 1955 and guests at the annual dinner dance of the Inner Wheel Club of Southampton are resplendent in white tie and tails and the latest style in evening gowns.
Music for the evening, held at the former Polygon Hotel in Southampton, now demolished and the site redeveloped as a complex of flats, was provided by Brian Gorman and his band.
