ON what has become a staple event, Vineyards of Hampshire, which includes nine leading county vineyards, hosted its annual festive Fairy Lights and Fizz at the Guildhall.
With the drama of the nations’ election as its backdrop, BBC Breakfast presenter and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Mike Bushell officially opened the festivities.
Hampshire’s finest sparkling wines were in full flow, with 16 different award-winning products available for attendees to sample from Black Chalk, Cottonworth, Danebury, Exton Park, The Grange, Hambledon, Hattlingley, Jenkyn Place and Raimes.
The Grange from Itchen Abbas became the group’s newest member.
Later in the evening a golden envelope raffle was held for the Murray Parish Trust, compared by Mike Bushell, where more than £500 was raised for the charity.
The event is expected to return next year.
