IN 1765, HMS Victory was launched and the nine-year old Mozart wrote his Fifth Symphony.

This weekend, at New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth, the English Chamber Orchestra presents Sailing the Centuries - a musical celebration ranging from the 18th to the 21st century.

Alongside Mozart, the evening features pieces by Holst and Haydn, and a new work by young British composer Leo Geyer – each one as varied, as passionate and as timeless as the sea itself.

John Kirk retells Roald Dahl’s classic story for children and families at Chandler’s Ford Library this Saturday.

This storytelling lasts approximately 40 minutes and is made with kind permission from The Roald Dahl Storytelling Company.

This year she is actually happy – and she’s at The Berry Theatre on Saturday.

The show answers the question: are all stand-ups at their best when they are miserable? Fingers crossed no!

A mix of storytelling, observations, a dash of social politics and a lovely routine about a smear test.

5 In Ringwood...

FAR out in the wild and remote ocean is a small family on an old fishing boat who pass the time with exciting stories and merry music.

The whims of the water control their daily routine but Lily finds herself gazing upwards, where birds swim weightlessly above her head before stealing the precious fish from the fishing nets.

With the threat of the nightly storm and its whipping winds, the family must pull together, take a leap of faith and look beyond what they have always known to get themselves and their old boat moving again.

Lily and the Albatross will be at Forest Forge Theatre on Sunday.

The New Forest Wildlife Park is located on the edge of The New Forest close to the towns of Ashurst and Lyndhurst.

The park specialises in native and past-native wildlife of Britain and otters and owls from around the globe, housing four species of the former and ten of the latter.

Visitors will see many unique animals, from the Asian short-clawed otter to the European Bison, this really is a hit place for animal lovers.
