"Starting at Queens Park at 11am on the 28th August, the parade will make its way down the High Street, through the Bargate and arrive at Guildhall Square to kickstart the event at approximately 12pm."

In May organisers predicted a 'record number' of people will attend this year, after last years event had to be cancelled due to the safety risk due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The prediction came just weeks after it was confirmed that Brighton Pride has been cancelled for the second year in a row over uncertainty over Covid-19.

The last Pride event in the city in 2019 attracted more than 12,000 people who celebrated the fourth annual event at Guildhall Square.
