Shoppers at Hampshire Farmers’ Markets are able to vote for their favourite producer in the annual HFM Producer Awards 2010. Shoppers will be able to vote for the Best Product, Best Personality, Best Dressed Stall and Best Food To Go.

Voting forms will be available at the markets and for the first time this year, people will be able to vote online via the HFM website and via the HFM Facebook page.

Despite difficult trading conditions due to the economy, HFM stallholders have continued to bring their goods to market with shoppers staying loyal. Many of our producers this year have won awards including Lyburn Farm, My Chocolate Bar, Loosehanger Cheeses and Bookham Fine Food. All will be vying for one of the HFM coveted awards that mean a lot because they are voted for by the public.

Hampshire Farmers’ Market’s Alex Handford said, “These awards are really a huge stamp of approval from the people that matter the most – our customers. They are a mark of excellence and a big pat on the back for the best of the best. All our stallholders work so hard to bring their produce to market in all weathers and we encourage as many people as possible to have their say on who their favourites are.”

Voting from the website has started so logon to hampshirefarmersmarkets.co.uk and cast your vote or at the markets thereafter. The awards are announced in early December at a ceremony at the Lainston House Hotel in Sparsholt.
