AN interpretation of a gothic classic is set for the stage in a village near Winchester.
Amateur dramatic society The Worthy Players is putting on Todd the Barber – a twist on Sweeney Todd.
The spring production is a little different to the group’s usual fare and takes the audience on a tale of mystery and love.
Set in the early 19th century the storyline closely follows the original but without blood and gore at every turn.
Michael Edwards has adapted the story from the original 1850 novel The String of Pearls by James Malcolm Rymer.
Todd the Barber is at Kings Worthy Jubilee Hall on April 17-18 and 24-25 at 7.30pm.
