A NEW Hampshire choir is set to join forces with one of the south’s biggest orchestras for a powerful performance.
Inspiration Southampton, which launched earlier this year, will partner with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra to bring songs from the stage, screen and beyond at the O2 Guildhall.
Do You Hear The People Sing? includes tunes from famous musical such as Phantom of the Opera and My Fair Lady.
Popular hits Bohemian Rhapsody and Bridge Over Troubled Water also feature, as will television theme tunes Blackadder and Red Dwarf, which have been specially arranged for the choir.
The new Southampton choir will perform with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra three times a year and will start welcoming new members from September.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings, leading up to the second concert on December 20.
Do You Hear The People Sing? is at the O2 Guildhall Southampton on July 19 at 3pm.
