BESTIVAL and Common People curator Rob da Bank has launched a monthly music residency with Spotify UK.

The former Radio 1 DJ, who grew up in Warsash, will be joined by a host of hand-picked artists for his In Residence Show on the first of each month.

He told Your Entertainment: “As ever at the start of a year there are so many incredible new artists and producers churning out fresh, revolutionary new styles and 2016 is no different.

"It's always good to be broadcasting those to as many people as possible and I’m really chuffed to be on Spotify with that simple aim - to share a couple of hours of brand new music from across the globe.”

The founder of Sunday Best Recordings - the home to the music career of David Lynch and Kitty Daisy & Lewis – Rob has made a huge contribution to independent music and culture.

Rob da Bank joins Jungle, Mike Skinner & Murkage Dave, legendary Sex Pistol Steve Jones, Big Narstie, Popjustice, Mixmag and more, as part of Spotify's In Residence team.

His residency will showcase an eclectic mix of worldwide chill, grime, hip-hop, techno and house, all looking ahead to the very best new music.
