THREE celebrated UK acts will perform at the second annual Graze Festival in Hampshire this summer.

The Beat, featuring Ranking Roger and his son Ranking Junior, will entertain crowds with hits such as Mirror In The Bathroom, Stand Down Margaret and Tears Of A Clown.

The ska favourites will be joined by Toyah Willcox, who has enjoyed eight Top 40 singles in a career spanning more than 30 years, and her band, plus pop, folk and punk performer John Otway at the event.

The first Graze Festival was held in Twyford, near Winchester, in August 2015 as a family day of music and fine food. As well as entertaining villagers and visitors, the festival also raises money for local good causes.

Graze will be repeating the format of last year’s inaugural festival, which raised over £10,000 for local causes, on Sunday August 28.

Two stages will be filled with a superb line up of local acts including Flight Brigade, Polly And The Billets Doux, Lilo’s Wall, Luna Rivers and more, plus guests including Twyford’s own DJ Super Kat DJ set.

“The feedback we received was ‘please don’t change anything, please don’t go corporate or try to expand too much’”, says co-organiser Tim Smith. With this in mind, the festival has received a licence to hold the one-day event every August Bank Holiday for the next five years on the same site, Humphreys Farm, off Hazeley Road close to Twyford.

Improvements this year include a bigger car park, an expanded food offering and more attractions for children and teenagers.

Graze Festival is organised by a small group of Twyford residents. At the first festival in 2015, more than 2000 people enjoyed music from Los Pacaminos and The Blockheads. The event raised over £10,000 for local charities and fund-raising groups.
