SOUTHAMPTON indie stars Costellos release their latest song and video on Friday as they prepare to play their biggest hometown show so far next month.

Frontman George Dummett, guitarist Keiren Pearce, bassist Kieran Wilson and drummer Tomi Lewis’ new tune is called Out of the Blue and follows recent singles Say and Keep on Lying.

They premiered it at Heartbreakers in December and played it again at The Joiners in March.

Now fans will have another chance to hear what will be the title track of the lad’s first EP at their headline show at The Loft on Friday August 31.

George said, “It didn’t take long to come up with ideas for the song and from the start we all knew where we wanted to take it.

“It’s the sort of track that will mean something different to everyone.”

The Costellos are supporting Twisted Wheel at Heartbreakers on Friday (July 6), a week after the Saddleworth group played at Liam Gallagher’s biggest solo show in Finsbury Park, London.

In September, Costellos supported The Sherlocks in Southampton at The 1865 in front of 750 fans.

They also supported the South Yorkshire band in their first ever show in the south at The Joiners in 2015.

“We’re continuing to write new songs and will release our debut EP later this year,” revealed George.

“And we are making bigger plans to take us through to 2019, including our first UK Tour.”

The Costellos release new single Out of The Blue on Friday. They headline The Loft on Friday August 31.
