THE Times hailed them: “Britain’s best new guitar band… Rarely since the age of The Beatles and The Beach Boys have songs been this sunny; rarely since the nineties heyday of Weezer has punky guitar pop been so invigorating.”

And the Evening Standard voted them Album of the Week stating:“Their debut album is a good-humoured romp filled with crashing guitars and massed vocals… their consistent catchiness should ensure their rise.”

With upbeat reviews across the board, a Radio 1 playlist for recent single ‘Getting Along’, and a nomination for Best New Artist at the NME Awards, The Magic Gang have emerged as a force to be reckoned with.

The New Forest band's self-titled debut album confirmed their rising status, and is currently the highest-charting debut from a British rock band this year.

Now The Magic Gang have released their new single ‘All That I Want Is You’ to coincide with their busy summer festival schedule.

Inspired by stories from Brian Wilson’s controversial autobiography ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’, ‘All That I Want Is You’ puts a slow-burning spin on their melodically buoyant, harmony-rich sound. Its closing lyric “Oh Brian, won’t you come out?” is the final line that emerges from the album – a reference to Wilson’s obsession with spending hours on end in his swimming pool.

The Magic Gang sold-out their entire March headline tour in advance, which included a London show at Koko. Their summer festival dates culminates at Reading and Leeds this weekend before they embark upon their biggest headline tour to date in September.

And they will play Bournemouth, O2 Academy on Tuesday October 2.

In addition to their UK dates their touring schedule is boosted with European festival dates at Benicàssim and the Reeperbahn Festival, as well as a wider European headline tour in October.

They are at Reading Festival on August 25 and Leeds Festival on August 26.
