This autumn The Berry Theatre has a varied programme of work for children and families.
Saturday Storytime returns to the venue for three dates of storytelling fun this autumn. Made especially for young people aged 3-7 years old and their families, the series is led by professional theatre-makers and features interactive playtime, sing-along-songs and fantastical tales.
Freckle Production’s Tabby McTat on Thursday 25th October is one of the venue’s season highlights. Featuring original songs and adapted from the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, this delightful production is suitable for all ages. Early booking is encouraged as tickets are selling fast.
Children’s theatre company Goblin presents Hey Diddle Diddle! on Sunday 4th November. A hilarious adventure filled with music and puppetry, the production is suitable for young people aged 3+ and their families. On the 16th and 17th The Berry Youth Theatre presents A Thousand Reasons Not to Fly. Written by Daniel Jamieson and performed by an ensemble of talented young people the production explores courage, family and whether there really is more to life than just staying alive.
One of the country’s best-loved family theatre companies, Stuff and Nonsense, closes the season with Puppet Panto; the venue’s Christmas show for families. Audiences can expect enchanting storytelling, beautiful set-design and mischievous puppets in this brand new festive production running 15th to 31st December.
