LONESTAR is a moving exhibition by members of Red Hot Press Print Workshop in association with Southampton Solent University Art Collection.
The works pay tribute to Titanic and all who sailed on her 100 years ago.
The exhibition includes a mix of etching, screenprints, lithography and poetry that focus not only on the disaster but also the celebrations onboard the ship before she met her tragic fate.
Featured artists include Solent University Lecturers Jonny Hannah and Katherine Anteney who have combined experience in teaching print making and Illustration.
Katherine’s pieces recall the loss of a19 month old boy Sidney Leslie Goodwin and how the discovery of his body deeply affected his rescuers.
His body was named as “The Unknown Boy” until 2007 when DNA testing revealed Sidney’s identity.
Runs until May 22. The Concourse Gallery is in Michael Andrews Building, East Park Terrace, Southampton.
The gallery space is open weekdays from 9am to 8pm and weekends from 9am to 4pm.
