JUSTIN Bieber fans scream. Well, tell me something I don't know.

In his latest ridiculous stunt, the As Long As You Love Me crooner stormed off stage during a concert in Manchester.

He asked the crowd to stop screaming as he talked between songs and when they didn't, he downed his mic and walked off in a huff for a few minutes to a chorus of boos.

After returning to the stage, he explained: "I feel like I want to connect with you. The point of the no screaming thing is that when I'm looking at you in the eyes you know that we're actually having a moment and having a connection."

What makes me laugh is that he's surprised his fans are a tad overzealous. Teenyboppers do tend to have a touch of youthful exuberance about them.

It was forever thus. In my day it was Take That and I don't recall them complaining.

Judging by the famous footage of The Beatles conquering America, I don't think they minded too much either.

Fan does, after all, come from the word fanatic.

It's not the first time I've had a moan about the 22-year-old Canadian pop superstar and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Earlier in the year he cancelled all meet and greets on his tour because having pictures taken with his fans made him feel 'drained and unhappy' and then there was an Instagram row which ended in him closing his account in a strop.

My personal favourite was his arrogant insistence that Holocaust victim Anne Frank would have been a Belieber following a visit to her home in Amsterdam.

After all that, the Sorry hit-maker could be heading for a pretty ugly break-up with his huge and devoted fanbase.

It does appear even Justin Bieber doesn't like his fans.

He won't like it when they're not screaming any more, that's for sure.
