THIS season, Anvil Arts has more to offer than ever before, with a whole repertoire of shows and experiences to entice and excite audiences of all ages.

Packed with an exciting mix of music, comedy and plays, The Anvil, The Haymarket and The Forge will be getting everyone into a sunny mood this summer.

Laughs aplenty will come from Russell Kane, the eyeliner wearing comedian who plans to raise an imaginary child on stage, on Thursday.

Jack Dee will be returning from a comedy break on May 10, and Rich Hall will bring his renowned deadpan style on April 21.

There are also a number of comedy performances to guarantee some big belly laughs. Inspector Norse (the girl with two screws left over) is a Swedish crime thriller from award-winning comedy duo LipService on 4 May. The Hormonal Housewives are back and starring Toyah Wilcox, and covering that makes every woman tick (or ticked off) on April 26. Be plunged into the thoughts, dreams, lives and loves of six women in Steaming which offers a hilarious girl’s night out from June 19 to 22. Murder In Play, a unique comedy thriller will be exciting an audience of all ages from May 22 to 25 at the Haymarket.

Kids will be kept entertained with shows from many much loved characters.

Dora the Explorer needs the audience to help her find a lost toy from May 31 to June 2. Spot the Dog will be celebrating his birthday from April 11 to 14 and wants everyone to join the celebration, and Andy Day and Mike Fields from Cbeebies Andy’s Wild Adventures will be going on a marvellous journey in a time machine on May 11.

Anvil Arts is also offering a huge list of names coming for one night only. Joan Collins will be revealing the secrets of her success on April 19.

Physic to the stars Sally Morgan will also be bringing her skills on May 28.

Queen legend Brian May will be teaming up with theatre goddess Kerry Ellis for a stunning acoustic show on June 19. Musical duo Chas and Dave also come out of retirement to play The Haymarket on June 26.

Musical highlights also come in the form of Jack Bruce, one of the most powerful vocalists and bassists of all time on April 12.

Now in its 28th year, The Solid Silver 60s show comes to the Anvil on April 26 with classic hits performed by the original hit makers.

Five-time Diego Music Awards winner Eve Selis will be bringing her “honey chipotle” voice to The Forge on June 21.

The Fureys and Davey Arthur bring their hits from the last 35 years to The Haymarket on May 10.
