YOUTH theatre production company RicNic Hampshire returns to the Theatre Royal, Winchester, next week for a performance of the timeless Broadway classic, Guys and Dolls.

New York’s most infamous gambler, Nathan Detroit, makes a bet with the equally notorious Sky Masterson that he won’t be able to woo the pious Salvation Army worker Sarah Brown.

Whilst Sky pursues Sarah, Nathan must deal with his own problems - his 14-year engagement to long-suffering starlet Miss Adelaide.

But love and gambling do not mix, forcing the characters to question their priorities: a journey that takes them from Broadway to Cuba and back again!

RicNic is a charity that provides young people between the ages of 16-21 with the free opportunity to become involved in the production team, technical team, cast and band of a professional quality stage musical without the control of adult professionals.

It is not just a vehicle for young people to express their creativity and musicality; it allows them to foster fundamental business and life skills, both socially and in leadership roles, which are essential to their ability to forge careers within and outside of the arts.

The company, which brought the multi-Curtain Call-nominated The Pajama Game to the stage last year, will be bringing show-stopping numbers such as Luck Be a Lady and Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat to the Theatre Royal from Wednesday to Saturday.
