SWINGING into Winchester on Sunday July 22 at 7.30pm is the show Swing Time.
Performed by the band Five Star Swing, featuring Ivy Benson’s saxophonist, vocalist Simone Smith and Tony Bennett’s trombonist, Mike Innes.
The show promises an evening of vintage swing, with classic songs from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Glenn Miller and many more.
The band’s instrumentalists and singers featured on stage at London’s Leicester Square Theatre, led by Chris Smith, composer and arranger for the BBC Radio Big Band and a former composer for Glenn Miller’s brother Herb’s Big Band.
Chris said: “My father Chris Smith Snr’ performed in Frank Sinatra’s band.
"And the fans have enjoyed this feel-good style of music for generations.
