RINGWOOD’S Forest Forge theatre Company has had a play based on Forest life shortlisted for a national award.
In April, Forest Forge presented a new play called Free Folk, written for the company by Gary Owen.
The script is one of ten shortlisted for the national Peter Wolff Theatre Trust Supports The John Whiting Script Award.
It is the only production on the shortlist commissioned by a small-scale theatre company. All other shortlisted entries are West End productions or commissioned by national or regional repertory theatres.
