Insp Richard Thompson

Inspector Thompson has recently joined Gosport Neighbourhood team. Prior to joining the police in 2000 he served for 10 years in the Royal Navy his first Base being here in Gosport at HMS Dolphin. He has since worked in all ranks up to Inspector in Portsmouth, Havant and Fareham and Gosport. He has neighbourhood policing experience from his days on the busy area of Leigh Park. The last three and a half years he has been managing response officer across the whole of Hampshire on the Isle of Wight managing critical incidents and live time situations.
He comes with a wealth of experience along with enthusiasm having expressed his interest in taking the position. His aim is to manage local resourcing helping the public to appreciate and understand what is achievable in an ever evolving policing world. He and his staff will do their best to serve the residents of Gosport and Hampshire, protecting the vulnerable and those most at risk, making residents feel safe and confident in going about their daily lives. He will endeavour to assist in bringing to justice who disrupt the community and commit crime.

PC Jonathan Needham

I have been a Police Officer since 2007 having served in MOD for 20 years. My first Police posting was to a response team meeting the needs of emergency calls. Later I worked from Portsmouth Central Police Station dealing with more in-depth investigations and cases. I then worked as a Portsmouth neighbourhood officer until transferring to the Gosport Neighbourhood Prevention Team in 2016. I am committed to providing the best service I can to contribute to the improvement of the lives of people affected by criminal and antisocial activities.

PC Lisa Bonell

I joined Hampshire Constabulary as a police officer in 2003 and spent 5 years working on TPT (tactical patrol teams) at Fareham and Park Gate before moving to the safer neighbourhood team in Park Gate where I worked for 3 years.

I enjoy the work of a safer neighbourhood officer, and in particular I enjoy working with the local community and partner agencies to provide a joined up approach in tackling local problems head on.

I joined the Bridgemary Safer neighbourhood team on 31/10/2011 and look forward to getting to know the area and the local community over the coming months.

PC Mark Barber

I am into my eighteenth year as a police officer. All but one year have been served at Gosport Police Station. I recently returned to Gosport as a Neighbourhood Police Officer for Bridgemary. I have a wide range of experience as a Police Constable that has included roles on frontline response, pro-active and burglary teams as well six years experience as a Safer Neighbourhood Officer (covering Elson as well as Fareham Town Centre). I also held the role of Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator for Fareham and Gosport. In this role I gained experience in dealing with victims and offenders of ongoing anti-social behaviour. This work ranged from problem solving with partner agencies such as the local Council and housing associations to obtaining anti-social behaviour orders at court.I am very pleased to be back at Gosport and having the opportunity to be back out in the community.

I have worked at Gosport for 6 years having previously worked in Cosham for 4 years. I have carried out in the role in the Town Centre and now work in the West of Gosport area, that includes the Alver valley ,Lee-on-solent ,Bridgemary ,Peel Common

Anti-Social Behaviour is one of the biggest problem areas which I intend to approach and address in the West of Gosport. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of residents and sorting out the problems that need solving.

PCSO Gemma Broster

I am PCSO BROSTER and I work the Gosport Central Neighbourhood area: I have been a PCSO since March 2011, before that I was a call taker for Hampshire Constabulary for nearly 3yrs, giving me some valuable experience.

I thoroughly enjoy the role and the variety it gives me.

My aim is to be as visible as possible so when you see me and you have any questions please feel free to stop and have a chat, with my knowledge, colleagues knowledge & the relationships built with other local agencies, I aim to help as much as possible.

PCSO Keren Gray

I am one of six PCSO's covering the Bridgemary, Holbrook, and Peel Common and Rowner areas of Gosport. I have been a PCSO with Hampshire Police since 2007 and have been working with the Alver Valley Neighbourhood Police Team.

My role is to support the work of police officers providing a visible and reassuring presence within the community, and attend incidents of disorder, nuisance and anti-social behaviour. Under age drinking is often a factor which causes anti-social behaviour, my evening patrols may include the consfication of alcohol from young people found to be in possession.

Part of my role is community engagement. During my daily duties I may spend time with vulnerable members of the community, provide reasurannce visits to victims of crime, attend community meetings, and visit local schools to talk to children about keeping themselves safe.

I am always interested in the views and problems of the community. Our team work closely with many different partner agencies such as Gosport Borough Council, Streetscene and local housing association's adult services and youth workers.

PCSO Ian Mitchell

I am one of the PCSO's for the Bridgemary, Holbrook, and Peel Common areas. I have been in the PCSO role since 2007, and was stationed in Basingstoke for a year before I made the move to Gosport in 2008.

My role is to support the work of police officers providing a visible and reassuring presence within the community. I attend incidents of disorder, nuisance and anti-social behaviour and deal with community issues such as littering and dog fouling. I am often found speaking to the young people within the area who might be drunk and causing problems, confiscating alcohol and tobacco, if necessary.

I am always interested in the views and problems of the community and act on any issues raised or information given, be it an obstruction of pavements to anti social behaviour and acts of crime.

If any one has any concerns or issues relating to the policing of Bridgemary, Holbrook or Peel Common, then please contact me on 0845 045 45 45.

PCSO Andrew Leeks

Often seen cycling around Bridgemary!
Please speak to me about any issues that you think I can help with.
