CREATE your own Christmas wreath this weekend in a creative workshop led by the head gardener.

Learn how to produce beautiful Christmas decorations including wreaths and swags to decorate your home, using plant material from the Gardens. Make your own decorations to take home with you at the end of the day tomorrow and Sunday.

AT MOORS VALLEY COUNTRY PARK…

SEARCHING for golden pine cones and decorating a giant advent calendar are just two of the activities on offer at Moors Valley Country Park in the countdown to Christmas.

There is also the opportunity to make cards in time for Christmas tomorrow and Sunday.

IN FAREHAM…

CHRISTMAS begins at 4.30pm on Sunday when the town centre’s festive lights are switched on by children’s character Peppa Pig.

Hosted by The Breeze 107, the family fun starts at 11am and continues right up until around 5.15pm with entertainment from the likes of Love Soul Choir, Cinderella’s Ugly Sisters, The Offbeat Offensive and Gosport Solent Brass.

IN EASTLEIGH…

SANTA will be taking time out of his busy schedule to make an appearance in Eastleigh to lead the Christmas Light Parade through the town at 5pm tomorrow.

IN ROMSEY…

THE festive lights switch on coincides with Romsey’s winter carnival tomorrow.

TV personality Esther Rantzen will push the button at 6.30pm. The carnival parade will start from Crosfield Hall and wind its way to the Market Place where hundreds of residents are expected to gather.

AT WESTQUAY, SOUTHAMPTON...

SISTERS and business partners Sam and Billie Faiers bring their renowned Minnies Boutique to Southampton this weekend.

The girls, pictured, who found fame on ITV’s The Only Way is Essex,will be opening an exclusive pop-up shop tomorrow and Sunday.

This will be the first time that Minnies Boutique has opened a pop-up store in the south. It will stock a wide variety of exclusive fashion brands, including House Of Dereon, Mink Pink and The Little Mistress by Minnies range.

AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHAMPTON…

A FESTIVE fair,singers and Christmas market will mark the end of the 60th anniversary celebrations.

It all gets under way with a lights switch-on outside the Students Union building on Wednesday at 5.30pm.

Student Pavlos Kontides, who became the first Cypriot ever to win an Olympic medal when he got a silver in sailing at London 2012, will do the honours.
