A WINCHESTER man killed himself after the breakdown of his marriage, an inquest heard. Kier Moore, 37, was found hanged at home in Firmstone Road, Winnall, in July by widow Clare.
The inquest heard he suffered from depression and anxiety issues.
Mrs Moore said they had separated six weeks before his death, during which time he became terrified of losing the house and their two daughters, aged seven and 11. She said: “Kier was upset and thought I would not let him have the house.
But I said I would and I was not going to let him become homeless. “He thought I was going to take the girls away but I would never have done that to him.
He could not cope with not having a family unit.” She added that she ended their relationship after a series of arguments. Deputy Coroner for Central Hampshire Simon Burge recorded a verdict of suicide.
