CLATFORDS village store has been selected as a regional finalist for the south west of England in the countryside Alliance Awards 2012.

Nicknamed ‘the rural Oscars’, these awards commenced in 2005 and were originally designed to help celebrate rural life, produce and communities.

Clatford’s village store is competing in the category of ‘Village Shop’ in this year’s awards and will be up against four other finalists in and around Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire.

The regional winners are due to be announced in early 2013 after a panel of professional and celebrity judges have made their decisions, and the winners from each category will go forward into the grand final due to be held at the Houses of Parliament.

The village shop in Goodworth Clatford prides itself on its excellent and varied selection of local produce, a well equipped and presented store, with friendly staff who are always willing to help.

To see for yourself just what the shop has to offer, and why it has been selected as a finalist for these prestigious awards, pop in soon.

There are plenty of Christmas goodies in store too, so you are unlikely to return home empty-handed!
