Former Tory MP Neil Hamilton was on the UKIP campaign trail in Eastleigh this morning as the party unveiled their candidate.
He was supporting Diane James who this morning announced her intention to win the seat.
Mr Hamilton said he believed the party had a real chance in the borough as this had been "by far the buzziest" launch he had seen in recent by-election battles.
He served as Tory MP for Tatton until 1997 and along with his wife Christine became a TV personality.
