A post-mortem will take place today on the body of a man found in a harbour.
Police hope that the examination will explain exactly how the man, who has not been named, died.
The investigation was launched after body was found in Ryde Harbour on the Isle of Wight on Monday.
Officers are not treating the death as suspicious.
An inquest is likely to be opened by end of the week when formal identification will take place.
