CHILDREN, staff and parents will formally mark the opening of Romsey Primary School during a celebratory assembly.
The assembly will take place on November 29 at 10am in the school's infant hall and each child will be given an acorn to nurture and grow.
It is hoped that some of these can be planted in the grounds of the new school.
The school has replaced the separate infant and junior schools which closed at the end of the summer holidays.
Pupils at the new school are using both the existing infant and junior sites until their new school is built on the junior school site in Mercer Way.
