LYMINGTON Hospital Radio has said farewell to three of its oldest volunteers.
Basil Trask, 87, from Sway, pictured right with Phil Franks who is 82 and 85-year-old Ken Jenkins, both from Lymington, have between them given 36 years of faithful service to Lymington Hospital Broadcasting, chatting to patients and collecting requests from the wards.
They also prepared a weekly request show for residents and staff at Linden House residential home in New Street.
Basil said: "Working for hospital radio for the past 17 years has been so rewarding and worthwhile.
"Collecting the requests is fun. There's always something new because you meet so many different people."
Basil, Phil and Ken were given a surprise party to mark their retirement. Their departure means new volunteers are needed. Co-ordinator Pauline Crow said she was looking for people who can spare about three hours a fortnight.
