GOAL 21: January 16, 2010 – Millwall 1 Saints 1 When Lambert netted a stoppage time free-kick, with the aid of a large deflection, it looked as if Saints had the game won. But Millwall took the shine off his effort, by going straight up the other end and equalising.
GOAL 22: January 30, 2010 Saints 2 Stockport 0 There was a touch of good fortune about Lambert’s 20th league goal of the season. From a Joseph Mills corner, the ball was punched against ex-Stockport man Lambert by the keeper, with it looping off the striker and into the net, as Saints broke the deadlock.
GOAL 23: February 9, 2010 Saints 3 MK Dons 1 (Johnstone’s Paint Trophy) Saints booked a place at Wembley, as Lambert scored the opening goal in this Southern Area semi-final second leg. GOAL 24: February 13, 2010 Saints 1 Pompey 4 (FA Cup) One of Lambert’s most memorable Saints goals, even if it proved to be in vain. GOAL 25: February 27, 2010 Saints 5 Walsall 1 After setting up Saints’ first two goals, Lambert scored the team’s fourth, brilliantly controlling Dean Hammond’s chipped ball towards him at the back post, then powering it into the net.
