FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a blaze in a derelict building in Southampton city centre during the early hours of today.
Crews from St Mary’s had initially feared some people may be inside the four-storey building in Above Bar Street, but when they arrived at 1.15am, it was empty.
It took the less than an hour to extinguish the small fire on the ground floor. The cause of the fire is unknown.
