THE total reward for information about the death of Jade Clark has now been increased to £15,000, Dorset Police has confirmed.

The Ringwood business community agreed to offer £14,000 in the hope of finding the driver of the Volvo XC90 who fled the scene after colliding with Jade. An additional £1,000 reward is offered by Crimestoppers.

The 16-year-old former Ringwood School pupil was riding a red moped along the westbound carriageway of the A31 near the Ashley Heath roundabout when the collision occurred at around 8.20pm on Sunday, February 24.

Spencer McCarthy, of Churchill Retirement Living, speaking on behalf of the business community, said: “Local people have been shocked and saddened by this tragic incident.

“The local business community is pleased to offer an additional £10,000 to increase the total reward to £15,000.”

The hunt for the Volvo driver is also due to feature on tonight's Crimewatch programme.
