TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2013

Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the Council made the following Order on 20th March 2013.

1 The effect of the Order will be to close Chapel Road from Nelson Street to Grove Street.

2 The Order is required to allow level crossing maintenance works to be carried out.

3 The alternative route will be via Albert Road North, Central Bridge, Terminus Terrace, Bernard Street, Threefield Lane, Marsh Lane, St Mary Street OR St Mary Street, Marsh Lane, Terminus Terrace, Central Bridge, Albert Road North.

4 The Order comes into force on 23rd March 2013 and it is anticipated that the work will take one night between 23:30 - 07:30 hours to complete. The Order will therefore cease to have effect on 24th March 2013 or on completion of the works, whichever is later.
