THE body of a Southampton man was found at his home a month after his death, an inquest heard.

Jason Moxham was 43 when officers discovered him in the kitchen of his house in Harrison Road, Southampton.

The inquest held at Southampton Coroner’s Court heard how police were called to the property by his worried brothers, Toby and Daniel.

PC Dan Morant, from Portswood police station, said whiskey bottles, a duvet and food were found in Mr Moxham’s lounge, suggesting he was spending most of his time there.

A post-mortem suggested his death was likely to have been brought on by extensive alcohol abuse.

Recording a verdict of death by natural causes, coroner Keith Wiseman said: “I think the loss of family members sent him into a downward spiral.”
